My little awesomesaucers – I have been very quiet lately. Please forgive me. Life is busy as I am sure that all you awesome people are aware of and experiencing yourself.
However, I have a little treat for you today. My friends over at Kaspersky Lab and Offerforge have given me some lovely goodies to give to you. I have three different levels of discount to make sure that you people keep your sexy machines safe and sound. How else are we meant to keep in touch if your baby is sick?
I have the following gifts to the first that claim them.
Don’t say that I don’t ever look after you people. I know these gifts are a bit late but enjoy! Read More
I have one of the weirdest tastes in music that I know. Not because I like strange sounds, but simply because I have such a wide variety of music that I listen to and really appreciate. One of those strange tastes is the fact that I am a MASSIVE Eminem fan – like MASSIVE.
At the start of 2011 I decided the three artists that I wished I could see live was Blink 182, Linkin Park and Eminem – in no particular order. In 2012, I managed to tick one of those off the list and saw Linkin Park live and the experience was awesome.
Eminem will now be the next and the one that I have wanted to see the most. Cape Town will be graced with the Rap God on February 26 at the Cape Town Stadium and I think I just wizzed with excitement!
Tickets go on sale on Thursday 21st November at 9am from Computicket. Frankly, I don’t care what they cost, I am getting my hands on some.
No lineup has been confirmed yet, but I am sure he will have a large entourage with him as always. I am also sure that there will be some big acts opening before him.

Reviving The Opel Brand Press Release
Nostalgia can be good and bad for automakers. Look too far back and you’ll lose foresight. Forget about it altogether and you’ll lose the specialness that attracted loyal followers in the first place.
For a while, Opel in South Africa has dwindled behind the competition. Which was sad since the brand was so favoured by local buyers; but decisions to streamline the model line-up diluted its appeal.
Now the automaker is on a mission to redeem itself not just here, but globally. This is what we heard at their four-model product launch in the Eastern Cape on Wednesday.
Opel’s marketing folks talked about rekindling the glory days; where the mention of Opel sparked excitement, thanks to local icons like the Superboss and GSI-badged thrillers.
Marking the revival is the return of the Opel Astra sedan derivative, which went away quietly in 2002. And we also heard that an OPC version would be looked into.
Then there’s the arrival of the Corsa OPC Nurburgring Edition, only a handful will be available for purchase in South Africa and most of them already have buyers. It’s more expensive than the standard Corsa OPC but comes with more power, more kit and of course exclusivity.
It wasn’t intended as a high volume seller, but rather according to Opel, something that would cast a bright glow on the rest of the range, joining halo models like the Astra OPC launched early this year.
Opel also launched a new turbocharged derivative of the five-door Corsa and reminded us of the existence of their Meriva MPV.
We spent time with all these models – most with the OPC and Astra sedan – so be sure to read our impressions on the Surf4cars website. Read More

Petrol price in South Africa infographic
Just 10 years ago South Africans were paying 339% less for petrol. In August 2004, unleaded fuel on the reef was priced at R4.00 a litre, with diesel at R3.29.
Petrol price increases
On average, the price has gained nearly rand a year, but the jumps have been erratic.
There was a brief period of respite from August 2008 to August 2009, when the price dropped by nearly R2.50. But since then, it has almost doubled to new highs seen this month.
Current South African fuel prices
Current fuel prices in South Africa stand at R13.55 for unleaded 95 on the reef, and the wholesale price of diesel (0.05% or 50ppm) is R12.48 on the reef.

So I know I haven’t blogged in a while and forgive me, but this is something that has cropped up over the last few months time and time again, and I was hoping that I could pose the question to you intelligent, beautiful people out there and see who has had any experience with this.
When I joined iMod Digital what feels like ages ago, (it was only 9 months actually), we got a rad little office in Harfield Village. Just big enough for Chris and I to do our thing in and create Rock and Roll. Yes, that is capitalized because the work we do deserves that – just look at Google ;). Now we are getting to the point where we need to think about investigating other options, and this has become incredibly difficult.
We both live really close to the office and therefore don’t want to trek a million miles to and from work as this one of the advantages of working how we work, but we also want some nice swanky offices. This has become increasingly more impossible to find as our search continues.
We are looking for some swanky places that are of a good size which allow us to expand. We have found one or two places that a decent rate, but each one comes with their own pitfalls.
We were wondering if there were any places like The Business Centre in Century City in and around the Southern suburbs at an affordable rate.
They have furnished offices, classy meeting areas (big factor) as well as a front desk and retaurants and cafes around. Anyone know of a place similarly as awesome, but at a decent rate, in the Southern suburbs that doesn’t cost as much as a correct Saudi Prince? Read More
