Mr Price Sports Highlights of SA Mens Hockey Olympic Training Camp

Posted by on Jul 12, 2012 in Sport | 0 comments

With Mr Price being a sponsor of the Men’s national Hockey side, they have put together this awesome video with some great footage of the guys working their butts off as well as some great interviews. Good luck to the 16 guys that have made the Olympic squad and from your recent performances and the amount of effort you have put into your training, I KNOW you are going to do us proud :)

Good luck to Gregg and the boys! I got offered free tickets to the game vs. Spain and I would have loved to have watched you guys, but unfortunately my big holiday ticket has been booked for Paris for the 12th :/

Oscar Pistorius Is Going To The Olympics

Our very own Blade-Runner will set a first in July when he becomes the first amputee to take part in the Olympic Games.

How cool is that!? Oscar was added to the 4x400m relay team along with Willem de Beer, Ofentse Mogawane and Shaun de Jager, and while I doubt we will bring back a medal, I don’t really care because it is just reward for all the effort that Oscar has put in over the last couple years. He narrowly missed out on qualifying for the last event, and missed out on qualifying for the individual 400m event, but has his reached his dream today when it was announced he was part of the 125 member squad going over.

Seriously stoked that he will also be joined by both our Mens & Ladies hockey sides. Good luck guys and go make us proud!

SA Mens Hockey Olympic Camp – Day 1 Highlights

Posted by on May 30, 2012 in Sport | 0 comments

The South African Men’s Hockey team are currently at a training camp in Bloemfontein preparing for the upcoming Olympic games. I just saw this awesome video of the day one highlights from the camp. Take a watch.

I think videos like these are awesome as the help to raise awareness of the game and the intense work that the guys put in with virtually no outside funding. Big up to the guys and I am sure you will do us proud at the Olympics!
