Not just any light, but rather the Light. No that was not a grammatical error now by adding in a capital l in Light.
The reason that is not incorrect, is because this is for Ms Light. Someone who keeps urging me to blog!
This is for you!
/end boring, nonsense post!
PS* I will have many many updates for you during the week once I actually manage to get my head around everything else going on! Read More
So a few weeks ago I pleaded with you that “Captain Awesome Needs Your Support” in an attempt to get someone to help sponsor me the needed funding so that I could take part in the Quirk eMarketing course.
Guess who pulled through!? Quirk in connection with Get Smarter!
I was over joyed when Lyndi from Quirk got hold of me to talk about offering me sponsorship! I was over the moon really! Not only did they help me to do the course but they have provided the course free of charge to me! WOOHOO! I was really worried that the guys over at Quirk were going to milk the oppurtunity to take advantage of someone really in debt to them, but when I asked what was expected of me in the course, they simply told me to do the best that I could. I was actually a bit shocked to here that they did not even want to me to come into the office for a bit and help out some way but hey, I am grateful and that is why I am writing this!
Without the help of Quirk and Get Smarter I would not have been able to do the course and I really am thankful that they have provided me with this awesome oppurtunity.
I am pretty sure they are keeping an eye on my progress and hopefully I am doing a good enough job. I am one of 8 I think that have got 100% so far. This was only for the initial quiz from the first week but hey, I guess it still counts. I handed in my first assignment today which was really interesting! Read More

Ladies, Gentlemen, even your cats and other furry animals, I request your help!
I have been working fairly hard on establishing Captain Awesome over the last few months, and I must thank you for your amazing support. It has been through the support and help you ladies and gentlemen that keeps me going and driving that passion to blog and succeed at it (well at least try to!).
Here is where I ask for your support once again! A couple of weeks ago, I had a bet with a work mate of mine where the first one to 50 fans for their blog got lunch bought for them! The only reason I got a chicken sandwhich was because of the awesome support that you guys showed for Captain Awesome!
So once again I ask for your support again! Please spread the news about my site, and try and promote it as if it was your own! After all, I do this for you guys and in an attempt to empower the local blogosphere. I would love to reach 500 fans, but for now I am aiming to reach just 100! That is just 30 more people than current!
I know with your help we can do this together! Send your friends to the following link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Captain-Awesome/322851424134?ref=ts

So as I said previously, my aim is to be involved somehow with the SA blog awards this year, and to do this I was going to try and post daily. Unfortunately with work this has slipped lately as I have been hecticly busy and not had the time or energy to do any posts!
I am struggling! So please bare with me as I continue my efforts to post daily as well as keep you entertained! I know I need to write some more entertaining, interesting and engaging content, and I promise that will come as soon as I can find some time! Hopefully I can clear out a backlog of posts for the week ahead and that will take care of things!
If I don’t post enough for your liking let me know! Or if you are not interested in reading a long post, then you can follow captain awesome on twitter!
Sorry my precise readers, but I will try make more of an effort over the next few weeks!
Also feel free to drop me any news you feel worthy of a blog post, by emailing me on info[at]cptawesome.co.za or on twitter @jbigmac Read More
So on Saturday evening we celebrated the birthday of the company, Tamar, which turned 15. We celebrated it by going on the Peroni Yacht from the V&A Waterfront around the coastline and stopping at Clifton, where the Cape Talk moonstruck concert was happening. It was a vibe and a really enjoyable experience. I took a few pictures, but unfortunately it is only with my phone so please bare with me.
Please enjoy the awesome vibe that is Cape Town.
