The Captain is back!

Posted by on Aug 1, 2010 in Cape Town, My life | 0 comments

Yes, you read that title correctly! I AM BACK!

I understand that I have failed miserably on my goal of trying to blog daily to in an attempt to try and get nominated for an SA Blog Award. My goal still stands, but I am going to make a slight change. I am not going to blog daily, but I am rather going to focus on giving you loving readers only a few articles a week, but rather posts of a high quality.

I am getting a much better response from articles that I sit down and plan along with doing a little bit of research. I rather want to give you something that is going to be of value to you rather than just passing along news that you can find anywhere.

So after my hosting issues I have finally managed to get things up and running. I will do a blog post depicting my experiences and difficulties in doing my first host transfer for all of my domains.

Also, look forward to a new domain that I will hopefully be able to release at the end of the week!

I am back, and hopefully it is with a bang! I have quite a few exciting ideas going on which I will be able to execute within the next few months, so stay tuned!

Until then, Dans Dans Dans

The World Cup is here – Feel it!

Posted by on Jun 11, 2010 in Cape Town, My life, Sport | 0 comments

So today is the big day!

The entire world is now watching, and it is time for Africa to show the world how we roll. I am sure the whole of Mzanzi will unite, like they already have been doing, for the rest of the tournament. It has been magical to see how the country has bonded and joined behind a common cause: Bafana Bafana.

It is time to embrace your African heritage and become one South Africa!

Captain Awesome is Officially a Geek

Posted by on Apr 12, 2010 in Humour, My life | 0 comments

So many people just throw around terms around loosely these days and many people end up calling others by the wrong terminology.

Here is a simple graph that I found that helps people classify what you really are. Either a geek, nerd, dweeb, or dork.

What are you? Leave your comments below!

geek, nerd, dweeb or dork

Captain Awesome is officially a geek according to this graph!

Happy Birthday To ME

Posted by on Apr 9, 2010 in Cape Town, My life | 0 comments

So it is my birthday today! Awesome!

Just thought I would try and bring some light to a very dark and wet Cape Town!

So this makes Captain Awesome the very old and fragile (how I feel this morning ;) ) 19. Crickey I am getting old! I need to start considering what I am going to do with my pension and which old age home I am going to stay in soon! I better start scouting!

I am busy singing happy birthday to myself in my head, but not very loudly as my head might explode! I got another toy from McDonald’s from Robin for my birthday! I will post a pic soon!

Happy birthday to me! My party is on Saturday! Sunday is going to be a very difficult day!

April Fool’s BIATCHS!

Ok so the truth must come out as I can’t be THAT mean to all of you! I am NOT going to live in the UK for a year like I said yesterday, but surprisingly very, VERY, few actually picked up on the joke. Obviously my skilled build up and planning worked quite well :)

But just to make things clear: I AM NOT MOVING!

So you can all stop being bleak with me ok :)

*hint hint Kate*

I absolutely loved the look on the faces of some of the people last night when I told them. Wow. Good times. I am so planning something even bigger next year!

There was one very sick joke played by some of my friends yesterday, and I must admit I was actually disgusted by it, and you know who you are! Enough said!

Did anyone else get some good jokes in?

It’s Official: I Am Moving To The UK

Posted by on Apr 1, 2010 in Cape Town, My life | 0 comments

So I have some fairly exciting news for all of you. You all might have heard me over the last two weeks saying that I might go to the UK, and over the last two weeks I have been in the process of organising this and it seems that as of yesterday it is confirmed.

So I will be living in the UK for just over a year from the start of September. I will be staying in London, but I am not sure where exactly yet. I will probably try and stay in a flat with someone, but I really am not sure.

I know that this will be the first that you will hear of this and I think some of my friends will be a bit pissed at this, but hey, I felt I would rather break the news to all and attempt to make sure that no one felt left out or told after someone else.

So yea. I will be gone for about 15 months and I will be back some time in December it seems.

Any questions feel free to leave a comment or what not. Hopefully this doesn’t take people too much by surprise.
