Ladies, Gentlemen, even your cats and other furry animals, I request your help!
I have been working fairly hard on establishing Captain Awesome over the last few months, and I must thank you for your amazing support. It has been through the support and help you ladies and gentlemen that keeps me going and driving that passion to blog and succeed at it (well at least try to!).
Here is where I ask for your support once again! A couple of weeks ago, I had a bet with a work mate of mine where the first one to 50 fans for their blog got lunch bought for them! The only reason I got a chicken sandwhich was because of the awesome support that you guys showed for Captain Awesome!

So as I said previously, my aim is to be involved somehow with the SA blog awards this year, and to do this I was going to try and post daily. Unfortunately with work this has slipped lately as I have been hecticly busy and not had the time or energy to do any posts!
I am struggling! So please bare with me as I continue my efforts to post daily as well as keep you entertained! I know I need to write some more entertaining, interesting and engaging content, and I promise that will come as soon as I can find some time! Hopefully I can clear out a backlog of posts for the week ahead and that will take care of things!

So on Saturday evening we celebrated the birthday of the company, Tamar, which turned 15. We celebrated it by going on the Peroni Yacht from the V&A Waterfront around the coastline and stopping at Clifton, where the Cape Talk moonstruck concert was happening. It was a vibe and a really enjoyable experience. I took a few pictures, but unfortunately it is only with my phone so please bare with me.

Tamar Football Tops
So as I mentioned the other day, I have my first job where I am working at Tamar. It is the start of my third week here, and it is the 15th today. This is significant as it is our 15th birthday this year, and therefore a lot going on is centered around the 15th day of the month.
We got cool tops to showcase our 15th birthdaym, and since it is the 15th, we are all wearing ours. Here is Jackie and I showing ours off:

My New Job: Tamar
So like I mentioned yesterday, I have been so busy that I have neglected my readers, and I said it before, and I am going to say it again: I am sorry.
The reason that I have been so busy this year is because I am EMPLOYED! Yes, you heard me BIATCHES!! I am now officially a working man.
I have only been at the company for two weeks but I am really enjoying it so far! It has been such a change for me. There is now no second chances really. They expect things done well, and done quickly. I miss the tiny work load and hours of school now.
What am I actually doing? I am the newest addition to the links team, so you could call me a Link Builder. Well, actually that is exactly what I am. I am doing marketing for the internet. Not the most intellectually challenging, but still fun so far.
We have an open office so I am really learning a lot from the search guys, the analytics team, as well as from the copy writers, and just from the general working environment. It has been fantastic so far, and I am loving it! I am just struggling with the hours. I am battling to concentrate for the full 8 hours every day, and it is not like school with nice little breaks in between, but I guess I will get used to the hours once I have been there a while.

Lately I have not posted very much or provided you with many scintalating stories of major scandal or severe misconduct by anyone, and for that I am sincerely sorry.
I have neglected you, my readers, and it is something I am not proud of, but it is not because I am over blogging, or anything of the sorts. I have had so much to chat about lately, I just have had no time to do so! Life has been absolutely crazy lately! It has actually been scarilly frantic.
But here is where the corner turns. Normally the SA Blog Awards are held in about April, and I know that is actually very, very close, but I am not going to let that stop me. I had a goal when I started this site that I wanted to feature in the Blog Awards this year, no matter what for. I just wanted to gain some recognition for a passion of mine, even if it was just a mention, nevermind an actual award.
So from today, the effort is being put in. I am starting my mission of attempting to get that recognition that I want, and to do that, I am going to start blogging DAILY. Even if it is just a tiny post saying how my day is going for example, but I fell that the only way that I am going to get a loyal reader base is if I actually start putting more effort into this, and what better way than to blog daily.
Another Nokia #FAIL
I am seriously fed up with how useless my Nokia N78 is. It is horrible.
I mentioned a while about about all of my problems with the phone, and things are getting worse. I decided to upgrade the firmware on the phone after discovering my phone was 9 versions behind.
After eating all my airtime I managed to finally upgrade a few versions. I think to v15 from v12, but I am not 100% sure. I simply got too fed up to check. I then decided to upgrade using my PC and downloading the update off the Internet, but that didn’t help me either. After downloading the 30MB file, and attempting to install it, I found out that the Nokia Software Updater does not support Windows 7. #FAIL.
After upgrading the firmware as well, things went further down hill. The phone now brings up its own menu’s randomly some times, and I really do not like the little changes that they have made. Surely if you are going to release a newer version of software, the goal is to make it better? No? NO! Not in Nokia’s case. I am going to cook myself from the inside as my blood is boiling so much because of this stupid phone!
RAFIQ PLEASE LET ME KNOW THAT OPENMOKO PHONE SO THAT I CAN ACTUALLY SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!

So here I am just sitting on my pc, when I head on over to justbcoz.co.za for…well just because. I often take a peak at her blog and it provides some truly inspiring moments. Trust me, if you read it regularly, you will understand that she is one seriously tough cookie.
