I am sitting here sipping on a refreshing drink while I stare into the mirror admiring my own sensationally good looks. What drink could match up to an ego this large is what you might be thinking. Klippies and Cola – that’s what my good friends.
The Okes from the legendary Klippies and Cola decided I was worthy of being a part of their latest campaign to appreciate the Good Okes out there. They happened to appreciate my rugged good looks, natural charm and sintalating litarary skills so much that they decided to send me a little something something of awesomeness.
Yes, my friends, that is a bucket of awesomeness tailored for all of those men out there that are so awesome it causes the average man to weep with joy when our presence can even be smelt. Over-doing it a bit much? Well they did exactly that with the goodies!
In the crate I got:
2 T-shirts 2 Caps 3 Lanyards 2 Six Packs (Nom nom nom) A sunglasses case that connects to my iPod and has a little speaker 1 bottle opening 2GB flash drive and the legendary Oke Manual.
So what is Good Okes you might ask? It is a website where all the okes can come together to compete and show their true level of manliness against one another. There are monthly challenges with frikken loads of re-donkulously kiff prizes like a 32″ LED TV, Xbox 360, iPad 2, braai gear and R10 000 cash! I smaaaaak it bru!

Large parts of Safe House was shot in Cape Town South Africa with it clearly being known that it is South Africa. The trailer looks awesome and it has Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds in it! Seriously, excitement in my pants right now!
“Oscar® winner Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds star in the action-thriller Safe House. Washington plays the most dangerous renegade from the CIA, who comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he’s remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative (Reynolds) escapes with him. Now, the unlikely allies must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead.
For the past year, Matt Weston has been frustrated by his inactive, backwater post in Cape Town. A “housekeeper” who aspires to be a full-fledged agent, the loyal company man has been waiting for an opportunity to prove himself. When the first and only occupant he’s had proves to be the most dangerous man he’s ever met, Weston readies for duty.
Tobin Frost has eluded capture for almost a decade. One of the best ops men that the CIA’s known, the ex-intelligence officer has given up assets and sold military intel to anyone with cash since he turned. From trading secrets to North Korea to aiding splinter cells, the damage he’s done to the U.S. is immeasurable. And he’s now back on the reservation with a secret.
As soon as Frost is brought in for debriefing, mercenaries come and tear apart Weston’s safe house. Barely escaping, the unlikely partners must discover if their attackers have been sent by terrorists or someone on the inside who will kill anyone standing in the way. Now it’s up to Weston to figure out who he can trust before they’re both eliminated from the game.”
While Coldplay were down playing their shows in Cape Town and Joburg, they shot the music video for their latest single called Paradise. What an awesome track it is, and it is great to see South Africa’s beauty being shown off in the video. Yep, that is my country people! Boom!
NoBucks.co.za are those groovy people that bring you the best deals around town so that you lovely, gorgeous people can save that geld. Now they are pushing harder and have created essentially an online advert. Enjoy.
Happy Birthday to one of South Africa’s most iconic men. A true leader and someone who has always strived for what is right, regardless of race, gender, religion or anything else. A true man, legend, gentleman and champion.
I have had the honour and pleasure of meeting the arch in person, and he really is a remarkable man with such a unique character.
I hope you have an awesome birthday celebration Archbishop Desmond Tutu! On that note, check out the cheeky ad Nandos posted with regards to the Dalai Lama trying to get a visa to attend Tutu’s birthday celebrations.
