Cut Down Costs on Your Cellphone
These days, cellphones are everywhere. Whether they are touch screen or QWERTY, pink or black, you can bet everyone has one (or two)… People use them to take photos, SMS friends, make phonecalls and play games… all of it coming at an unnecessarily high price. The good news? It doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Arm yourself with the knowledge of how to cut those costs, without giving up your favourite gadget.
Safeguard the phone
Replacing a phone by paying cash is a hard pill to swallow. Cellphones don’t come cheap these days, and having to pay out of your pocket won’t go unnoticed. Take out cell phone insurance to cover you for any damage or theft.
Free is awesome
Whether it’s a free app or free minutes; use it! You might see a great app about gaming, but it probably costs, right? Don’t download the first app you see; browse the app store and find a cheaper alternative or even a completely free version. As for free minutes, this is a great way to save money if your phone is used mainly to call. Ask your service provider about free minute offers. It may be limited to certain hours of the day, but it’s worth it. Also worth a try are (free) apps which allow you to call friends at no cost to you (if they have the same free app installed).
Do you mostly call people in the evenings, or the weekends? There are specific calling plans available for these time slots, and they will save you a big chunk of money by offering discounts when you call between certain hours.
