No, no, no! Internet what have you done!? I don’t know if you saw the video from a while back about Sophia Grace, the now teeny who thinks she is a superstar rapper/singer, where she performed Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” at home in front of the camera. She made it big and got on Ellen and had a message from Nicki etc, etc.
Now someone has told this child that she is a superstar. Ag sies man. Who is going to tell this child that they probably aren’t going to grow up into the next big thing. Nevermind the fact that she will probably be bullied at school like Rebecca Black because of this.
This is a hypothetical situation but I was asked this question a few weeks ago and it is one that has provided very interesting answers when asked to others.
So let me set the scene:
Age does not matter; answer it from your perspective – 21 or 65.
I want YOUR answer, and preferably your age to add some perspective. Do you clear out bad credit card debt you have had, or do you put that money into the stock market, or do you spend it on coke and hookers?
I want your thoughts. I will provide my answer in a follow up post.
Being a Manchester United fan for the past 15 years has meant always watching one man managing the team. He has been an ever-present and consistently brought success and further hunger to our great club.
Yesterday marked his final home game at Old Trafford, and I think watching the scenes struck a special chord with me after visiting there in August to watch the first home game of the season. Now that I think about it, I watched the start of the end.
Here are his last words in front of those that adore him so much.
I shed a tear watching that yesterday. Emotional stuff.
This sums things up perfectly:
Sir Alex Ferguson. 26 years. 1,499 games. 872 wins. 330 draws. 260 defeats. 38 trophies. 1 piece of chewing gum. *tears*
There are loads of “make money online” scams out there. You always see the ads claiming that you can make thousands of dollars a month by just sitting at home. Pffft! We all wish!
I have been blogging for a good number of years now and my blog is four years old. I have learnt so much from blogging and formed some pretty awesome relationships and been exposed to some fantastic opportunities, all because of my blog. I landed my first proper job because of my blog!
A blog isn’t just a tiny piece of the internet where you can throw out your thoughts, but it is actually a highly valuable tool both personally and professionally, and many companies around the world are starting to realize their true potential. The latest to recognize just how powerful blogs and their network can be is MyScoop.
MyScoop isn’t a new company and has actually been around for ages. What is new though is there latest app where bloggers can now register their blog for paid marketing opportunities.
All you need to do is provide them with analytics access and away you go! Their system does the rest and collects what traffic you get in a month and then applies a Tier to your site. The system then automatically calculates an offer price for an opportunity and you get alerted via email as soon as a new opportunity arises. #winning
So far I have already raked in a few hundred rand from this new system and so far there have been no problems! The system is obviously still brand new so it will only get better with more companies coming on board realizing the power of blogging and social media.
