Another Nokia #FAIL

I am seriously fed up with how useless my Nokia N78 is. It is horrible.

I mentioned a while about about all of my problems with the phone, and things are getting worse. I decided to upgrade the firmware on the phone after discovering my phone was 9 versions behind.

After eating all my airtime I managed to finally upgrade a few versions. I think to v15 from v12, but I am not 100% sure. I simply got too fed up to check. I then decided to upgrade using my PC and downloading the update off the Internet, but that didn’t help me either. After downloading the 30MB file, and attempting to install it, I found out that the Nokia Software Updater does not support Windows 7. #FAIL.

After upgrading the firmware as well, things went further down hill. The phone now brings up its own menu’s randomly some times, and I really do not like the little changes that they have made. Surely if you are going to release a newer version of software, the goal is to make it better? No? NO! Not in Nokia’s case. I am going to cook myself from the inside as my blood is boiling so much because of this stupid phone!

RAFIQ PLEASE LET ME KNOW THAT OPENMOKO PHONE SO THAT I CAN ACTUALLY SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!

You would be contributing to the improvement of my health!

JUST SOMEONE SAVE ME!!!

Audi A5 Controversial Advert

A fellow blogger, DChetty absolutely loves Audi, and with my future brother-in-law recently getting a new Audi A3, I am following Audi closely. It also helps that I am currently looking for a new car, and currently driving an ancient Audi A4.

Credit must go to @DChetty for posting this first, but I couldn’t resisting sharing it with you.

What do you think of this? Do you find it an effective method of marketing?

Apple iPad Parady

So with the release of the brand new Apple iPad yesterday, the entire internet has been buzzing with news, reviews and opinions from all corners.

Here is something to take the edge off all the hype and constant news from it:

Mad TV have some simply brilliant skits.

OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner – I WANT!

So I am unfortunately still stuck with my failing piece of Japanese enginering, namely the Nokia N78. As I mentioned in my GIGANTIC RANT, I am nowhere near satisfied with the phone and things just keep getting progressively worse.

I have some new additions to add to that huge list of failings: The phone now just brings up its own menus. It just will randomly press buttons by itself. Fortunately it has not dialed or smsed any one yet, but it keeps unlocking and locking the phone, bringing up the main menu, and continuesly thinks I am plugging in some handset and asks me to confirm what is connected. The back cover has also fallen off and broken now.

It is really just a pile of absolute C.R.A.P.

But then I got a pleasant surprise and I felt like a 6 year old on the morning of Christmas. I saw Rafiq was running a competition to win an OpenMoko Neo FreeRunner! This bad boy is one of the first phones in the country to run the Android mobile operating system. Stoked! I have seriously been wanting to test the system, and with this phone being opensource as well it just gets better!

So here I am, on my kness, bowing before you Rafiq, begging, pleading, willing to sacrifice a small animal if it means I get that phone! Put me out of my painful, tourcherous stay with the phone! PLEASE!

/pathetic, shameless begging
