Xmas Wishlist: Part 1-Samsung 2333SW 23″

Welcome to the first part in our Xmas Wishlist series. I have a real beauty that I want to share with you today. As you can see above, this monitor is absolutely beautiful. A friend of mine has one of these bad boys and watching series or a movie on here becomes a whole new experience. With the resolution it has, full 1080p HD can be enjoyed, and games come to life. This is also the cheapest full HD monitor widely available, but it certainly is not affected by its price. This monitor is a steal from Dynax at just over R2000. If you are looking for a new monitor but don’t want to spend a fortune, this monitor is the only one that should even be considered!

Take a look at some of the specs.

I want one of these guys for Christmas! My 19″ feels so small next to my mates 23″ now. Also the fact that mine has a few dead pixels and a tiny bug squashed under it. Yes, it is rather disgusting I know, but I can’t get it out! What I would do for this screen!

Periodic Table Of Cupcakes

This is for the nerds out there. My dad would absolutely love this! I think any nerd would find this part of a suitable birthday party!

Now I am really hungry. I want some cupcakes, except I don’t have any. I guess muffins will have to do!

Review – Twilight: New Moon

“New Moon is the latest victim, in the bestselling Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, to have been put through the Hollywood sausage machine like that nerdy kid with John Lennon style glasses and a jet-powered broomstick. I used to associate twilight with that soft diffused light in the sky just before dawn or sunset. After watching Twilight, a state of uncertainty, vagueness and gloom has taken its place – hang on, isn’t that what twilight actually means? I heard somewhere that it’s all an allegory for abstinence… how Edward, the vampire boy can’t suck on Bella until they get married or something?

New Moon is a great story if you’re planning on doing a Halloween edition of Dawson’s Creek, but it’s better suited to television. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are a good-looking trio, but don’t have any real charm or depth beyond their shells in these TV performances. The languishing love triangle romance, wishy-washy paranormal action, the predominantly unknown “teen” cast… it’s a TV Series waiting to hatch. Unfortunately, the Twilight Saga doesn’t make a great transition from the novel’s pages to the film’s frames and it just comes across as superficial and campy, a teenage soap opera with an emo double glaze…”

The review continues, except you will have to jump over here to find out how the movie was rated!

Xtreme Sports: Grass Diving

Welcome to the first part in our Xtreme Sports section. As I mentioned before, this is a series of posts, and this is merely the first installment of the series. Are you ready for our first Xtreme Event?

Xtreme Sports: Grass Diving

This sport is truly as extreme as it sounds. Forget a pool full of soft water and fancy diving boards. This is plain hardcore. This sport only requires long grass, and some extreme moves. Oh, I almost forgot: it also requires a large amount of alcoholic beverages being ingested prior to your participation, but I guess that is all up to the participants.

This image will needs to be enlarged to appreciate fully. I understand it is a bit dark, and my apologies. Click on the image to view it in its full awesomeness.

As you can see here, X-man scores a mighty 8.9 for such an exquisit dive. His technique was outrageously perfect, his timing impeccable, and his execution reminiscent of World War II with such precision. His landing was the only place were he lost a few points. Apart from his slightly wonky landing, it was perfect. If you were wondering what was wrong with his landing, you tend to lose points when you land face first, and then proceed to cry out in agony, “Aah my f***ing, nose!”

Never the less, with the sport still in its infancy, it was a remarkable attempt, and left us, the spectators, in rapturous applause pleading for more.

So there you have it fokes, the first part of the Xtreme sports series is complete. I hope you enjoyed it and remember: NEVER do any of the things seen in the series at home!
